500 posts needs a little celebrating

Hard to believe but I’ve hit a bit of a milestone here on Crumbs in the Minivan.

500 big ones!  Seriously, I didn’t think it was possible for me to keep anyone’s attention that long! Maybe I haven’t and I’m just imagining you’re all still reading...

In any case, I figure 500 of anything is worthy of celebration. So, I’ve got a little package together that I'm going to giveaway to some lucky rock 'n roll mom or dad or grandma or uncle... And, like all of my giveaways, I like to keep things easy peasy.  Less work for me, really.

What you need to do for an entry:

Comment below and tell me something that you have done at least 500 times in your life. You can enter once per day but they need to be a different thing each time. Extra entries for tweeting it up! (again, one extra per day)

Be creative!  But not x-rated, please…this is a family-friendly blog. You can email me your x-rated ones privately. {smirk}

What can you win?  Check it:

1.  A pack of personalized Colourful Sticky Labels from the lovely ladies at – you guessed it – Mabel’s Labels!
These are so perfect for so many things, including back-to-school labelling!

2.

2.   A triple-threat of awesome kids music that includes the following fantastic CDs, courtesy of the lovely Elizabeth at WaldmaniaPR:

Recess Music (Wild Child)  Recess Music is a company that creates compilation CDs (a la Putumayo) and has a dual focus on environmental awareness and social empathy.  Their new album, Wild Child, actually has songs by two Canadian musicians on it: Jack Grunsky and his daughter, Cosima.

Rocknoceros  (Colonel Purple Turtle)   Northern Virginia's premiere power-trio for kids! Rocknoceros (pronounced like rhinoceros) has dominated the Washington, DC children's music scene since its inception in 2005. As every family with youngsters in the DC area already knows, Rocknoceros (pronounced like rhinoceros) is three guys: Coach Cotton, Williebob, and Boogie Woogie Bennie.

Beethoven’s Wig (Beethoven’s Wig: Sing Along Piano Classics)  A number of years ago, Richard Perlmutter toyed with the idea of writing lyrics to masterpieces of classical music.  While humming Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, the words “Beethoven’s Wig is very big” popped into his head. "It really struck a chord because the words fit perfectly with the first eight notes of the symphony,” says Perlmutter. “And the wig is a perfect symbol for classical music." Perlmutter proceeded to add lyrics to the entire allegro con brio of Beethoven’s Fifth, and liked it so well that he put words to ten more pieces by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Haydn and other composers. Then he went into the studio and sang them, backed up by a symphony orchestra and four opera singers.

3.    And last but certainly not least, you’ll have your choice of one of the very cool kids rock tees from JetBaby.com!

Ones like this beauty here to the left!

Yeah, I know!  Go check them out!  They're so awesome!

So, get on it, folks!  Deadline is Wednesday, August 31, 2011

Help me celebrate the big 500 by entering to win this great little package! Must be Canadian or US resident to participate.

  17. congrats on hitting 500. as for me, i've had to count to 10 at least 500 times when my kids do something that makes me want to SCREAM but which i know i need to step back, take a breath, and think of the best way to proceed. (of course, there are days when i still scream after counting to 10...)
