January 2nd and procrastinating already? Yes, I am.
I keep thinking that I want to write a favourites of 2009 post but honestly, I've no gusto in me today.
We said that we'd take the last few days of the holidays, after all of our hosting and partying and houseguests, and just relax as a family.
And, that we've done! Today, we barely made it out of our pajamas! We've been puttering around the house, goofing off, eating leftover turkey (my 30lb nightmare lives on), playing music and Wii (Mario Bros Olympics, City Folk Animal Crossing, Lego Batman, Petz Horses, Six Flags, New Super Mario Bros, Trivial Pursuit...we got a lot of Wii for xmas!) and cleaning up (a little).
Is it wrong to let the entire family spend the day in pajamas and just not leave the house? It feels like it should be very wrong but I'd say it has been the best fake snow day so far this year! :)

ReplyDeleteI like to sleep in my soft yoga pants and tank top...THAT way I don't just sit in my PJ's all day...I am in YOGA CLOTHES. And that is v v different. somehow.
ReplyDeleteWe stayed inside in our pajamas all day, too. Why do I always feel guilty about that?
ReplyDeleteWe had a pajama day a couple of days after Christmas and it was FABULOUS. How often do you get to do that? Just enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI was in my pjs until 4:45 when I finally showered, dressed and went to church. No guilt. Pajamas rule.
ReplyDeleteWe have those kinda days every other weekend at my house. My older kids have visitation with their father EOW, but when they are with us we hang around the house and just play around. SO MUCH FUN! Esp if we have had a super busy week with school and activities. School...that starts again the day after tomorrow...fun...
ReplyDeleteWe got a Wii also for Christmas. Wii love it!! I wish we would have gotten one last year. Now, it is a totally addiction! Total.

We had a 15lb ham and at the end the dogs started getting bigger and bigger slices of it =)
ReplyDeleteNot wrong at all! Yesterday my fiance and I stayed in our pajamas all day and our toddler got dressed. There was something off with that picture..

Us too! WE've been blessed/cursed by 25 below zero frigid temps so we've turned into slugs. I haven't left the house in 2 days. Jammies have stayed on, sleeping bags have been spread on the floor, and waayyy too much junk food has been eaten. Oh yeah, I've cleaned a ton of closets too! :)

ReplyDeleteI think those are the days I remembered the most when I was a child. At least you don't live in a nudist colony, right? It would be "just another day". :-)
