Switchin' to happy

Well, ain't she sweet!   WorkingMommyof1 passed along a happy award to me earlier this week.   I was feeling a little frustrated with my lack of motivation (and, therefore, action) this afternoon but saw that I'd received the happy award and it made me, well, happy!   Know what else is great about it?  I have to list 10 things that make me happy.  What better way to cheer myself up than thinking about things that make me happy.  (then I'll tell you ten blogs I read that make me happy, too)

Ten Things That Make Me Happy

* Hearing my kids laugh (and making them laugh)

* Listening to music (especially going to hear live music)

* Snuggling up in bed under the big, fluffy duvet

* Dates with Daddy Crumb (these happen so very seldom, though...sigh...)

* Having a clean house (this also happens very seldom...sigh...)

* Travelling

* Reading a fantastic book.  (and having the time to actually get through more than 10 pages without being interrupted by children)

* Dancing with my kids (this includes playing air guitar, shaking our booties, doing the robot and doing the pee-wee)

* Sunshine.  Warm, sweet sunshine.

* Blogging!  Yep.  Connecting with you all makes me happy.

Ten Blogs That Make Me Happy (this is tough because I love quite a few blogs so here's just a sampling)

A Nut in a Nutshell

Buried With Children

Hairline Fracture

Interstitial Life

Lost in Suburban Bliss

On the Curb

Spot on your Pants

that girl blogs

The Kerrie Show

Killing a Fly With a Ukelele...

Here's the last rule: you don't actually have to follow any of the rules if you don't want to/don't have time.   If you want to, go for it!  If not, just bask in the glory of your happy award. :)

Psssst...one last happy thing for you.  At least it makes me happy.  :)

Toot toot!

  7. Love your happy list ... apart from my daughters smile in the morning and actually having my hubby home sometimes, I love nothing better than a glass of wine and a good laugh. Generally those two come hand in hand, which is lucky!
