Snowboots and mittens and meltdowns, oh my!

Today was the kind of day when you walk in the door after running the kids to various activities and the dog jumps up on one of them, accidentally scratching their face (and causing a crying meltdown).  

Then another child can't get their boots off because they're stuck in their snowpants so they writhe around on the floor screaming and crying while you are struggling to get your own massive coat and boots off so you don't track snow and wet through the entire house.  

Yet another child is immediately in your face (while you are still in your coat) asking if a friend can come over right now to play Wii and why not and that's not fair and I'm so bored and why don't I ever get playdates.

By this time, the entire foyer is covered in boots, snowpants, coats, hats, mitts and bags with a dog running recklessly throughout and you are still standing in the doorway in your coat (sweating and getting crankier by the minute) because there is no room to actually get inside and close the inside door.

If it weren't for the fact the dog builds such great snowmen, we'd have to move south with the geese.
