Picasso in the basement

Alright, as you have probably figured out, I've given up on NaBloPoMo this month.  I've missed two days of posting.  There was just no way it was going to happen given the state of my health this week.   OK, honestly, I was just not feeling the bloggy muse and did not want to keep putting boring junk up just to meet the freaking (self-imposed) NaBloPoMo commitment.  I really am sick, too, but that's beside the point.

So, just a little photo post for today.  Caught Finn downstairs painting earlier.  I thought he looked adorable in his smock (a.k.a. an old white t-shirt that Daddy Crumb has thankfully passed on).   He was working very hard on this particular painting.  A lot of patience and focus for a 2 year old.  *Ignore the trashy looking room - this is the furnace room and all manner of strange things are stored in here.

While it looks as though he's working with his fingers to create just the right juxtaposition of blue and red splotches, he was really just smearing it all onto the easel.  It looks very artsy now, which is to be expected with an art easel, non?

Of course, it wasn't long before big brother Max decided that Finn's artwork needed some elder artist advice.  Hello brown.

Thankfully, Finn takes it all in stride and runs off to find one of Max's cars and see how far it can fly from the top of the stairs.  He's a happy kid.  That makes me a happy mom.

  4. Aw what a cutie they are! I love their smocks. My daughter uses my hubby's old shirt for smocks and I think kids look cute wearing their parents shirts for a smock, don't they?
