The dog is not a cheesehead

So, my family has some Packers fans.  We're Canadian, but we spent a lot of time travelling around areas of Minnesota and Wisconsin.  Thus, the men in the family have a rivalry.  Three are Packers fans, one is a Vikings fan, which makes for great discussion with that move of Brett Favre...but I digress.

Point is, my kids have been splashed with Packers and Vikings merchandise since birth.  Of course, with my dad being on the Packers side, we tend to lean a little more to the green and gold.

So when the dog chewed up one of the caps that my dad had bought the boys, I was really peeved.   And I felt really guilty.   So I went online and tried to find a place that a lowly Canadian could order youth sized Packers caps.  Think that was easy?  Nope.  Most either didn't ship to Canada or were going to charge me somewhere around $50 just to ship two caps here.  Seriously.

Finally, I did find one store that only charged $10 to ship and that was the ticket.   The two caps arrived last week, the day after the Packers lost.  I felt badly - perhaps if I'd gotten them just a day earlier and had the boys parading around the house all day, the Packer luck may have been better.

In any event, the hats are still here and await next season.  The boys are desperate to wear them but I have put them away so there will be no temptation for the dog, who I believe must be a Vikings fan and is not to be trusted...

My husband is a HUGE Packer fan. He says my love of the Vikings is my only flaw. He's weird like that.

  3. It is just insane what stores want to charge for shipping! You are in Canada, not North Korea, for goodness sakes.
